No court today
We are disapointed that our court appointment was cancelled for today since the SDA approval was not back. It is supposed to be back today and hopefully court on Monday. Vlad's paperwork is here from Ladyzhin I'm told, but I am unsure if it was submitted to SDA yet or not. Our adoption is not like any other I have heard about. In the almost month we have been here we have seen Vlad once and Artem 4 times, only one of those times was for 2 hours. We are staying in Kiev per facilatator's request and pretty much, just killing time alone. We haven't had this much togetherness in the last 30 years. Maybe God wants to strengthen our marriage before adoption. I think this game is in overtime then. I know it won't be much longer.

Oh Lin, I am sorry court was cancelled today. That is very disappointing to have to wait through the weekend. I'm saying prayers for you and Vlad and Artem that this process will start to pick up speed so you can get those precious boys home.

Hang in there Lin! You are right, what you are doing is VERY different from the average adoption...and you ARE breaking new ground where Vlad is...which is a wonderful thing! Though things are moving slowly, they are moving in the right direction and that's what's important. I will continue to pray for you and for your process...and hopefully you will get lots of good news next week!
Are you learning any Russian or Ukrainian while in Kiev?????

So sorry to hear about your court date. i agree, you adoption seems unlike any of I heard about, only seeing the boys a few times is not usual, but what can you do?
After court I hope things move much more quickly for you. Prayers for a smooth journey from this point out.

I am very glad that your adoption is proceeding. We helped get 3 special needs kids adopted from Boyarka. And first saw the kids with Down at the orphanage.
Please if you get a chance can you check on a child called Sergey Babko (born 23/04/2000) - he was at Boyarka with your boys - we had someone visit him a couple of months ago at Ladyzhin and if you can take a photo it would be great.
