SDA Appt.

Today we had our appointment at the SDA. As with most Ukrainian adptions we ran into some complications. First our facilitator was arguing with someone who then agreed for us to keep our appointment. They were having trouble locating the files, but finally were able to. There is good news and bad news. The good news is neither boy appears to be at Ladyzhin, which is a very bad institution. It seems that Artem may still be in the baby house in Boyarka and Vlad was transferred to another institution about 60 miles from Kiev. Being in different orphanages complicates things. It was hard to know exactly what the situation was because Alex mostly kept saying "don't worry you guys" only with a real heavy Ukrainian accent. We get our official referral tomorrow and may get to see them Friday. We should find out a lot more tomorrow.

Don't worry, you guys. Hehehe...
Yeah for Artem and at least Vlad is closer than expected! Yeah!

Makes it more complicated but I will focus upon the silver lining!

LOVE YOU!

Everything will work out just dandy I'm sure. The Ukranians are known for their streamlined bureaucracy. Tell Dad I look forward to reading his blog after he's done carving it into stone tablets. Just kidding! But continue to have lots of exciting adventures, take lots of pictures, and tell us all about it when you get back! Love you!

How far is the child orphanage Artem is in?

I'm praying that all will be fine and you will have those two little guys in your arms soon. I am glad that neither one was transferred to that horrible place. God is watching over them for you.

"If God brought you to it, he'll bring you through it."

I got a forward today that said that and thought it seemed appropriate!

I love you very much and am quite jealous of the balmy weather you and dad are enjoying. Hope you are snuggled in your Ukrainian beds right now snoozing! The next couple days sound busy but exciting!

dear mom wom,
look at us. we are such loyal readers, hanging on your every word.
i also really enjoy the "don't worry, you guys" part. alex seems friendly. hi alex.
i bet people that aren't in our family think i'm a weirdo right now...

anyway, i second what has been said previously. i'm sure things will end up working themselves out.

sara is being lovely to grandma.
she made me purchase a lunchable for her today. sara, i mean...not grandma, though that would be really funny. i'd be like, "GET IT YOURSELF LADY." just kidding! i love grandma.

well, i'm gonna go get back to my wild house party.
just kidding!

love you,
mary

Good luck to all of you. I am so happy that you are getting our boys out of the situation they are in. Anne is so excited and I am waiting for pics. Although I will never be able to adopt outside of the U.S., my heart will always be with all these children without families. Congratulations to the Fesslers, including Vlad and Artem!!

Lin,
Somehow I didn't have your blog saved. But, we're folowing along now. I'm happy your appointment went well and I have absolute confidence that Alex will work out all the logistics of your traveling to where the boys are. We'll cross our fingers that you meet at least one of them tomorrow!
